Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships combine practical training in a job with study. It is a paid position, so you earn while you learn. At least 20% of the time is set aside for learning, usually at a School, university or training provider.
The rest of the time is spent applying your knowledge and skills in the actual workplace.
Local Further Education Colleges
The local Colleges have a range of courses that offer many choices including vocational options. These are the links to their virtual tours.
University Technical College (UTC)
A UTC is a place for students aged 14 to 19 which specialises in technical studies alongside traditional education and is supported by academic and employer partners.
