Rooks Heath Uniform

All students are expected to wear the uniform correctly, on journeys to and from College, and to be clean and tidy at all times. The decision of the College on issues regarding uniform is final.

Please carefully note the uniform requirements, which are summarised below. All items must be clearly labelled.

Years 7- 10

Girls Boys
  • Sky-blue shirt with College tie 
  • Navy blazer with College badge
  • Navy V-Neck jumper (optional)
  • Navy/black skirt or tailored trousers** - see guidance below
  • (Skirts should be no more than 5cm above the knee)
  • White/black/navy plain socks or black/navy/natural plain tights
  • Sky-blue shirt with College tie
  • Navy blazer with College badge
  • Navy V-Neck jumper (optional)
  • Plain black trousers
  • Black/grey/navy plain socks

Year 11

Girls Boys
•    White formal shirt with collar and plain black tie
•    Black blazer with College badge.  
•    Black V-Neck jumper (optional) 
•    Black skirt or tailored trousers** - see guidance below
•    (Skirts should be no more than 5cm above the knee)
•    White/black plain socks or black/natural plain tights
 
•    White formal shirt with collar and plain black tie

PE KIT Unisex – all with Rooks Heath College badge

•    RHC shorts or tracksuit bottoms with College badge
•    White sports ankle socks (plain)
•    Non-marking trainers
 
•    Plain navy football socks
•    Football boots
•    Shin pads
 

Make-Up, Jewellery etc

•    Students may wear a wristwatch and one small set of studs in the ear lobes.
•    Other jewellery is not permitted and may be confiscated.
•    Make-up may be worn with discretion in Year 11 only.
•    No extreme hair styles or unnatural colours allowed.
•    Nail varnish, artificial nails and artificial eyelashes are not permitted.
•    No other form of body piercing (such as a nose piercing) is permitted.
 

General

•    ** Trousers: no cut-off leg or ‘skinny’/tight/stretchy/Lycra trousers permitted. Must be classic 
straight-leg fit, preferably polyester/viscose with elastane.
•    Shirt top buttons must be fastened at all times.
•    Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
•    Shoes must be plain black leather or equivalent.  No canvas shoes, trainers or sports brands. No boots except in severe weather, and when permitted by the College.
•    No patterned tights or socks.  No over the knee socks. No leggings.
•    Hoodies and caps are banned. Hats and scarves may be worn only in cold weather, outside. No shawls or over-sized scarves. 
•    Head-covering worn for religious reasons must be plain black or navy.
•    Headbands, ribbons, etc must be black or navy.  
•    College blazers must be worn at all times.
•    Coats must be suitable for College. Denim and leather are not permitted.
 

 

In extreme weather conditions, students will be informed of any relaxation of the uniform rules by the College. Students who fail to comply with the uniform regulations will face sanctions which may include:


•    Confiscation of items
•    Detention
•    Isolation
