Inclusion at Rooks Heath
Be10 is the term used to describe the Inclusion Unit situated within Rooks Heath where the emphasis is on inclusion and supporting students through difficult times. We promote inclusion as part of the whole college policy, working to reduce the risk of permanent exclusion, disaffection, anti-social behaviour and criminal activity. Be10 is part of a planned intervention scheme, which meets the needs of individual students on a Personal Education Plan, a Pastoral Support Plan, or an Individual Report. We offer a flexible approach to learning by considering the individual needs of each student. Our aim is for all students to have a planned and phased re-integration to return to mainstream classes. We promote positive behaviour, offering support to staff, students and parents/carers.
Our aim is to encourage each student to astound themselves and be as many of these ten things at the end of each lesson:
- Willing to learn
Be all these ten things and students achieve their full potential!
Working with students giving support through the Key Stages, English, Maths and Science.
We encourage positive behaviour choices and there is always a listening ear available.
Be10 has access to the current curriculum and can support students with homework and/or classwork.
