Key Stage 4

At Key Stage 4, students continue to follow the Short Course AQA course outline where Christianity and Islam are studied. There are two components to the GCSE - Beliefs and Practices and Thematic Studies.

In Christianity, the Beliefs and Practices section will allow students the opportunity to study key events of Jesus’ life. Themes covered will be:

  • Relationships and Families
  • Religion, Peace and Conflict 

In Islam, the Beliefs and Practises section will enable students to learn about the nature of God and Life after death. Themes covered will be:

  • Relationships and Families
  • Religion, Peace and Conflict 

This specification offers all students equal opportunities to demonstrate their attainment, regardless of gender, religion and ethnic and social background; it is accessible to students of any religious persuasion or none.
