Students will be assessed in line with our exam board policy:
60% Coursework and 40% Examination
The Coursework consists of a series of projects. Each project aims to assess your ability to produce a set of images based on specific themes set by the department. You will be you expected to research the themes in their cultural and social context as well as appropriate photographic practices. The final exam is a 10 hour practical session that follows four weeks preparatory work.
Students are expected to complete up to 6 mini projects, each taking up to 10 hours contact time and 2 major projects each taking up to 40 hours contact time. You will be expected to spend at least two hours per week on homework.
