Congratulations to Class of 2026 on your exam results! 

Once again, we are very pleased to celebrate the KS4 results with students in Year 11. There were some lovely surprises with students who exceeded their expectations proving their hard work and dedication paid off.  

There were smiles and even tears of joy as students received their results and several students have taken the decision to continue their Key Stage 5 studies in the 6th Form at Rooks Heath. The atmosphere in the room was one of celebration of success and achievement as well as recognition of the journeys that many students had made to get the outcomes they deserved. Our overall performance has been sustained this year.

Our rich and diverse community boasts 66% of our cohort having English as an additional language and 66% of all English grades were grades 9 – 4. Once again numerous students accessed the esteemed grade 9 across a variety of subjects and 50% of students achieved a strong pass at English and 55% a standard pass and 50% a strong pass in maths and 65% in languages. 81% of students sat combined sciences with 75% achieving grades 99 - 44 and 94% of all triple scientists achieved the highest grades 9 – 5. 95% of all students studying vocational courses achieved Distinction * - Pass grades. Rooks Heath remains a school that allows students to access a broad curriculum and 50% gaining the EBACC. Urdu, Russian, Spanish, Polish and Persian are some of the community languages our students gained additional strong GCSEs in outside the timetabled curriculum. Students had much to say including this quote; 

“I was filled with so many emotions but now I am very happy. I am staying at Rooks Heath because I love the environment here and I don’t want to change. I can still do one subject in the Collegiate, but I want to stay at Rooks Heath, I’m happy with the teachers here. I want to go to university to study psychology.”

Mrs Manderson, Headteacher, said, “We are particularly impressed with all our students and in particular those students who joined Rooks Heath later in their school lives beyond year 7 and have made a tremendous effort to gain successful outcomes. There are some students for whom English was not their first language but having the brilliantly inclusive educational ethos we have here, they have been well guided by their teachers to achieve grades across subjects allowing them to pursue their studies in subjects they had not considered before. We are very proud of them all and look forward to working with those staying with us until the end of Year 13”. 

  Ms Grover, Head of Year 11 said, “Congratulations to our Year 11 students on their GCSE and BTec results! Students' hard work and dedication over the exam period certainly paid off and we look forward to welcoming some of them back in September to Sixth Form. The rest we wish the best of luck in their next chapter!
