Rooks Heath School Celebrates KS5 Results Success 2026

Rooks Heath School is delighted to congratulate all of our Key Stage 5 students who received their results today. Their hard work, dedication and resilience have been rewarded with a strong set of outcomes that reflect both their individual commitment and the support of staff, families and the wider school community.

This year, students have continued to benefit from the broad and ambitious post-16 curriculum offered at Rooks Heath School, with participation across a wide range of subjects that mirrors the most popular choices nationally. We are proud to see students achieving success across all areas of the curriculum and securing places at their chosen universities and higher education destinations.

Many students have successfully achieved the results required to progress onto their preferred courses and institutions, while others are carefully considering the range of opportunities now available to them. As always, Rooks Heath School has ensured that students receive high-quality advice and guidance throughout the process, enabling them to make informed decisions and move confidently to the next stage of their education, training or employment.

We are particularly pleased with the achievements of students studying vocational qualifications where students achieved outstanding outcomes. More than half of all vocational grades (52.4%) were awarded at Distinction* or Distinction, reflecting the high-quality work produced by students and the strength of our vocational curriculum. Their success demonstrates a “parity of esteem” in that vocational pathways continue to provide excellent routes into higher education, apprenticeships and future careers, alongside more traditional A Level programmes. These outcomes highlight the strength of Rooks Heath School's inclusive approach to education, where every student is supported to pursue a pathway that best suits their aspirations, talents and ambitions.

Some student success stories include:

  • Student A achieved ABB and will study Structural and Architectural Engineering at the University of Bath

  • Student B achieved ABB and will study Geography with Global Development at the University of East Anglia

  • Student C achieved Distinction*, Distinction, Distinction and will study Business Management at Queen Mary, University of London

  • Student D achieved a double Distinction at BTEC Level 3 and a grade C at A level and will study Nursing (adult) at King’s College, University of London

Mrs Manderson, the headteacher said: “I always tell the students that ‘education is their passport to their futures’ and today we are incredibly proud of the passports they have accessed. This reflects their hard work and determination, the dedication of staff and support of the student’s families. We are delighted so many have secured places at chosen universities or considering apprenticeships or employment with gap year responsibilities. We wish them every success for their futures and look forward to them returning to share their experiences with our younger generations”.

Mr Wright, the Head of 6th form said: “I am very proud of this cohort. They have approached the challenges of sixth form with resilience and maturity, and it has been a privilege to support them along the way. I am particularly pleased to see so many students progressing to their chosen destinations. Their success is about far more than grades alone; it reflects the personal growth, confidence and independence they have developed during their time with us. I wish them every success for the future."

Today is a celebration of our students' achievements and the many different journeys they have taken to reach this point.

We would also like to thank our dedicated staff and supportive families whose encouragement and guidance have played an important role in helping students achieve their goals. These outcomes reflect our Rooks Heath TRACK values, especially teamwork, resilience and achievement, which contribute to ensuring every student is supported to follow a pathway that matches their strengths, interests and aspirations.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026. Whether progressing to university, apprenticeships, employment or further training, our students leave Rooks Heath equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed.

We are incredibly proud of all that you have achieved Year 13 and wish you every success in your next steps and look forward to following your future achievements with pride.
