Learning field techniques
On a bright, crisp autumn day, Year 13 biology were to be seen in the forests and fields of Epping Forest. With access to specialist equipment and expert tuition, the students took part in sampling plants and comparing habitats. The students were not afraid to get their hands dirty and were fully engaged in all the activities. The students were treated to sights of fungi and other plants that were common to that area and not seen in Harrow. The students, as expected, were awesome demonstrating exemplary behaviour and the most amazing attitude towards their work. The course tutor commented on how focused the students were without any fuss made. I was so proud to be their teacher.
