GCSE and A Level results were fantastic

At Rooks Heath College we set high expectations for all of our students and this is demonstrated by the outcomes achieved year after year.

GCSE and A-Level Results August 2016

At Rooks Heath College we set high expectations for all of our students and this is demonstrated by the outcomes achieved again in 2016. This academic year 62% of students attained grades A* to C in both English and Maths. This is a new key national accountability measure this year.

76% of students in English/English Literature achieved the expected 3 Levels of Progress and 72% made the expected 3 Levels of Progress in Maths. These progress measures are year on year above the national average.

The Progress 8 measure is still provisional and will be announced once investigations with exam boards have been concluded. The provisional figure is around 0.1 which will reflect good progress by our students.

In the Sixth Form we had another successful year with the majority of our students being offered a place at their chosen universities .

The following are examples of their achievements along with their future learning pathways:

Milan – A* A* A  going to Oxford, studying Maths

Abdul – A A B going to King’s London, studying Maths

Vinooja – A* A A going to Nottingham, studying Physics & Astrophysics

Riya – A B B going to Queen Mary, studying Politics & International Relations

The College is pleased to say that the majority of students have fulfilled their potential and have gained the qualifications to progress to the next stage of their education. These achievements are a reflection of the hard work of the students, the support of parents and the commitment of the highly qualified and dedicated staff at Rooks Heath College.

We are extremely proud of the achievements made by our students and we wish them all continued success with their future studies.
