Meeting the new Prime Minister...

Eight girls from years 9 and 10 attended a ‘Girls In Tech Summit’ at Adobe European headquarters in Maidenhead on Friday July 1st.

Eight girls from years 9 and 10  attended a ‘Girls In Tech Summit’ at Adobe European headquarters in Maidenhead on Friday July 1st. The event was aimed at inspiring young women within STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) and to encourage girls to consider these areas as a career choice. There were a variety of workshops including careers and CV writing. The Rt Hon Theresa May, MP gave an inspiring speech where she said, ‘My first message to you is whatever you choose to do aim high’.

 Some comments from the girls:

‘I have never written a CV before and they explained what should and should not be put in it.’ Shania

‘It was a wonderful day the girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves, the refreshments were amazing and the Adobe team were very welcoming and instantly made the girls at ease. They have definitely been inspired to consider the technology industry as a career choice.’ Mrs Batt
