Opportunity through Learning

Comic Relief 2015

Once again, Rooks Heath students used their initiative, creativity and sense of humour to organise a variety of events for Comic Relief 2015.

Once again, Rooks Heath students used their initiative, creativity and sense of humour to organise a variety of events for Comic Relief 2015. These included fairground-type stalls, a cupcake sale, guessing teachers from their baby photos, a comedy photo booth, Pie-The-Teacher, a Treasure Hunt, a Mufti Day and a mass dance involving teachers and students, all dancing to the song ‘Uptown Funk’ in the playground.

The highlight of the week was the Comic Relief Entertainment Evening, when hilarious performances and sketches were performed involving staff and 6th Form students. Thank you to Mr Sharp and Mr Pitchforth for their time and hard work in making this another huge success.

It was an extremely fun and successful fund-raising week at Rooks Heath and we are very proud to announce that a fantastic £2981.16 was raised. We would like to say a huge ‘Thank You’ to all the students, parents, staff and the PTFA who made this happen.

We are already looking forward to Sport Relief 2016!

Ms Grover, Director of Learning, Year 8
