About Us

WELCOME TO ROOKS HEATH SCHOOL

"Leaders have an accurate evaluation of the school’s work and well-thought-out plans for further improvements." Ofsted 2024

At Rooks Heath School, we are committed to academic excellence, strong discipline, and high aspirations. Since becoming an Academy in 2011, we have built a reputation as a dynamic and forward-thinking 11–18 comprehensive secondary school, dedicated to shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

We are proud to be part of a Multi-Academy Trust, which includes Earlsmead Primary School and, more recently, The Jubilee Academy. This collaboration allows us to provide a seamless, high-quality educational journey for our students.

Excellent Academic Success

  • Our diverse students consistently achieve excellent results, with many securing places at top universities, including Russell Group institutions and degree apprenticeships with high profile organisations.

  • We offer a broad, rigorous curriculum, including Latin from Year 7 and Ancient Greek from Year 9—a rare offering in comprehensive schools.

  • Small class sizes ensure individual attention, allowing every student to reach their full potential.

Strong Values and Discipline

  • We foster a culture of respect, hard work, and self-discipline, equipping students with the skills to thrive in a competitive world.

  • High standards of behaviour and academic commitment are expected and supported at every level.

A Diverse and Inclusive Community

  • Our students come from a range of cultural, linguistic, and religious backgrounds, creating a rich and vibrant school environment.

  • Many of our students are multilingual, which enhances their cognitive skills and global outlook.

  • We are proud of our dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) department, ensuring that all students receive the support they need to succeed.

Exceptional Support and Leadership

  • Rooks Heath is led by Mrs. Miriam Manderson, who has guided the school’s continued success since her arrival in 2019.

  • Our pastoral care is second to none—students are nurtured and challenged to ‘strive for to be their best’ in everything they do.

  • We maintain strong partnerships with parents, ensuring a supportive and collaborative learning environment.

The knowledge pupils need to learn has been clearly sequenced from Year 7 to Year 13.  Staff make sure that pupils’ learning builds on what they have learned before.” Ofsted 2024
